Today, we are announcing what we believe is the first step towards a safer retail experience for everybody: ZetoChain, the coldchain guarantee.

What we want to do for you, the customer, is have a transparent record of every step your refrigerated produce took, from the moment it was cooled on the farm to the day you picked it up from the supermarket shelf. This gives you the peace of mind that the food is safe. No rancid turkeys, no rotten food.

To accomplish this, we’re going to create a public, tamper-free record of every refrigerator temperature, taken at regular intervals. Our partners in retail will use this data to ensure no food that deviates dangerously from safe temperatures reaches the supermarket shelf. Plus, there will be a mobile application that allows the consumer to verify, with a quick scan of the Zeto barcode, that they’ve done their job.

The scale and scope of this new product is huge. To achieve it, we need a huge funding effort to develop it and a powerful technology to back it. To that end, we are also announcing an initial coin offering (ICO) on the Ethereum blockchain. The ICO is going to fund the first version of ZetoChain.

All the ZetoChain features will be driven by the ZetoToken, an ERC-20 token that will be used as an incentive for both retailers and customers to use the system.

But before we get into the ICO proper, we need funding to market and push our vision and to begin development of the first version. The ICO presale offers a chance for people to get in on the ground floor and help us make our vision a reality. We are offering excellent discounts on ZetoToken. It is open to anybody who passes our whitelisting process. Check out our new website for more details.
